Gone Fishing

We headed out on Papa's boat to do a little fishing.

The boys were so excited to go fishing. 

We were able to catch two fish, one for each of the boys and they loved it.

This was their first fishing trip and the boys were so eager and excited to catch fish.  It was a great day on the lake.

Zoo and Ice Cream

Today was the last cool day before the heat wave hit so we decided to go to the zoo.

Having a great time with all of their cousins.  It was such a fun day at the zoo.

 Later that night we were near the high school where Patrick and I first met.  We decided to go to the dairy queen where we first held hands.  It is great sharing some of our favorite places with the boys.

Bugs and Boys

These two little guys are absolutely obsessed with bugs.  They are always digging holes to find bugs and hunting down tarantulas, ladybugs, and worms.  I cannot believe how much time they spend looking for bugs and their complete lack of fear at touching and playing with bugs.

 

Their favorites right now are snails and worms.  We got bug vacuums for the boys and they love wandering around the backyard or the park sucking up bugs.

These two are such fun little boys.

Shaving Cream Fun

It is getting hot here so we are looking at more different and unique ways to have fun in the heat.

Cameron absolutely loves shaving cream.  He loves painting with it, playing in the bath tub with it, helping dad shave, and pretty much in any form; so we decided to cover the slip'n'slide in shaving cream and have some fun.

Cameron was not shy at all at jumping right in and getting dirty.

Hunter loved laughing at his brother and then jumping right in too.

I love the look on their faces in this picture.  Watching them play is always so much fun.

Then we got into some water fun.

We love coming up with fun ways to relax in the heat and have some fun.

Projects

 We have been having a lot of fun doing some fun projects at home.

 We have been reading a few books that feature pictures made out of items.  Hunter created this picture to describe himself.  He was so cute talking about each piece of the picture and how it described himself.  I have an adorable video that he describes the picture with and I love it but couldn't get it to download.

 

We also made some flubber.  Hunter was amazed how this came together and loved the feel of it.

Cameron and Hunter had so much fun playing with it.  Hunter made a flubber tongue and Cameron liked making me flubber dinner.

Sludge Sand and Swimming

We spent the morning at the pool by our house.  The boys call it the waterpark and they love it.  There is a lazy river, whirlpool, and slides.  Cameron was done swimming pretty quick and just wanted to cuddle in a towel on my lap while Hunter swam for nearly another hour. 

When we got home the boys started looking at books.  They love reading so much.  Hunter is beginning to read and loves reading to Cameron.  We sat and read for over an hour and Cameron even sat through his first little chapter book.  When I read with them they cuddle up with me and I love it.

In the afternoon we decided to try to make some sludge sand.

These two are so much fun.  I love great days like todays.  These two are the cutest boys on the block.
