First Day of School

Hunter had his first day of Kindergarten today. 

I cannot believe this little guy is old enough for school but I am so excited for this new adventure in his life.  Hunter could not wait to start school. 

He requested breakfast in bed for the special occasion and daddy stayed home, made him breakfast, and we all took him into school.

Hunter all dressed and ready to go.  When I asked what he wanted to be when he grew up he said "a volcanologist, a scientist who studies bugs and an astronaut".  He said he was most excited for "P.E."

In line heading into class.  I love the look on his face, he was so excited and eager to get started.  Dropping him off was hard for mom but I have loved seeing him grow and gain more independence.  He is such a wonderful little guy.

So what do you do when your best friend starts Kindergarten without you.  Go get donuts.  Cameron definitely misses his brother but it is fun to have some one on one time with this little guy.  And Hunter is ready to play when we pick him up at lunch. 

Cameron started his art class the next day.  He couldn't wait to meet his teacher. 

When I asked what he wanted to be when he grew up he said "a missionary and teach everybody" and when I asked what he was most excited for he said "painting and arting".

Drawing a picture in class.  I love that his shoes are off.  He is so adorable in his class and so excited for everything.  I wish that I could have half of Cameron's enthusiasm. 

I love watching my boys grow and learn. 

Bouncing Around

We decided to end the summer with a fun day together bouncing and playing around.  It was a great hurrah for the summer.  I have loved my unscheduled life with these two but am looking forward to watching these two flourish and grow in their new environments.

 The pictures are blurry but it was hard to take anything but crazy action shots with these two boys.  I love these two little guys so much.

Children's Museum

We headed over to the children's museum today for a fun little adventure.

The boys loved exploring with grandma and she was so cute jumping in and playing with them.
We had a lot of fun in the art room.  I think Hunter spent 30 minutes painting the castle and Cameron was so precise coloring and cutting his pictures. 
I love exploring our town with these two.

Around the House

Along with all of the fun we have been having around town we have been playing around at home.

Hunter loves science experiments so we made some exploding clay balls.  Hunter loved exploring what made these fizz and explode.

Cameron donned his safety goggles to help me trim trees.

We also made some pinecone bird feeders to put out in our trees.

If we get to the park early enough we still have a little time to play on all of the toys.  Hunter has been looking for new parks in the neighborhood to play at.

With the hot weather we thought a little ice would be fun.  We played around with frozen balloons and frozen water beads.  The boys had a great time splashing and playing around.

Hunter the artist has been doing some amazing coloring.

We had a campout in their fort.

These boys always love searching for bugs and love using their bug kits.

We made a cloud in a jar and watched the colors rain down. 

We had fun making these wacky picture collages. 

Cameron loves dressing up and is always putting on new costumes.  Here is his bat/cat/super hero costume.

Playing with colored oil ice.  We froze oil and food coloring and the boys loved the big bubbles it made in the water.

Then we had some fun with noodles and water beads.

I love these two little faces.  They are so cute and fun.   

Lastly we went down south to visit our cousins.  I only got a couple of pictures of the day but the boys keep asking to go back.
This summer has been fantastic.  I love coming up with new and different things to do with them and watching them explore and play.
