Messy is Fun Day

After dropping Hunter off at preschool Cameron and I decided to go for a ride around the neighborhood.

Cameron was excited to stay in his cute pajamas and go for a ride.  He was adorable.

 Lightning was going too slow for Cameron so part way through our adventure Cameron decided to push Lightning.  Cameron collected some rocks on the walk and wanted to paint them.  I thought that sounded like a fun idea and decided today should be a messy is fun day.

 We also decided to try a few more painting techniques like using muffin cups to do print making.

 Cameron also did a lot of finger painting and I am pretty sure he used every paintbrush we own.

 Hunter came home from preschool and wanted to make his own painted rocks.  I loved seeing how Hunter would not mix any of the paint on any of his rocks and Cameron's rocks are covered in a mixture of paint.

 

 Hunter also did print making and we decided to do an experiment in color by using his favorite color red and adding white and black to show a range in the color.

 Hunter also did straw painting by blowing the paint around on the paper.
 We ended the day with a picnic at the desert park with grandma and grandpa.

It was such a beautiful day with amazing weather and lots of fun.

Picnic with Cousins

We met up with our cute cousins to feed the ducks and have a fun picnic.

 The boys loved feeding the ducks.  Cameron and Brody ate the bread along with feeding it to the ducks and Hunter slowly fed the ducks and the turtles. 

 Best friend cousins.  Everywhere we go Cameron asks if Brody is coming too.

 I love watching him sit and concentrate on what he is doing and I got plenty of cuddle of time with my cute girl Emma whose picture I didn't get.

The Desert Park

While Dad was busy with a church activity on Saturday we had to entertain ourselves.  Hunter has learned the days of the week and laughed at me when I said dad was gone in the morning.  He told me "no mom it's Saturday that's the day dad is home".  They missed their daddy so I had to distract them with some fun.

We went and cheered Hunter's little preschool friend on at his game and hit the library for some new books.

 Then we decided to spend some fun time at the desert park.

 Such a beautiful boy.

 I don't think that I realized when I had little boys that I would spend so much of my time throwing rocks.  These two love running around and finding a good little stream to throw rocks in.

 I love taking them outside and watching them explore their environment around them. 

This park is beautiful and so close to our home, whenever I can tell the boys are going a little stir crazy I take them here to throw rocks, count rabbits, pretend we are lizards or some other animal, and explore the beauty of our world.

 Two little best friend brothers.  These two are the best of friends and I love watching and listening to them play together.  It is truly the best part of my life.

Zoo Day

We had such a great time at the zoo today.  It doesn't matter how many times we go to the zoo the boys are still utterly excited to head to the zoo and are always eager to see all of the animals.

 They love checking out the turtles, lizards, and snakes the most.  I know so much more about snakes and lizards than I ever could have imagined was possible a few years ago.

The boys also love petting the goats.  They always want to know each goats name and will sit and talk to the goats while they brush their fur.

 After all that fun at the zoo the boys were still excited to go to the park that evening with daddy.

A Day In The Life

My life is so much fun with these two little guys.  They keep me on my toes and are so fun to play with every day.
We wake up every morning to lots of reading.  I often will read to them for 30 minutes or more right after they wake up.  Also, they will sit and look at books while I get a chance to shower and try to throw myself together.  I love watching them exploring books.

I love hearing them "read" books to each other.
Every day must have some craft or project.  The boys love drawing, painting, and play dough is a huge favorite.

Each time they play with playdough they always come up with new ideas.  They are so creative and fun.
With the fantastic weather we spend as much time as possible outside at the park or even just in the backyard.

Hunter just learned how to slide down the fire pole and was so proud of himself.

I love watching them at the park.  Their favorite thing right now is meeting "friends" at the park.  They always run up to a new friend and love playing with them.  I absolutely love them making new little friends.

Most nights end with a bath and I get to see these adorable cuties.  I love how much fun I have with these two beautiful boys.
