Going to the Circus

The circus was in town and we were so excited to take the boys. 
We were able to go to the preshow and see the animals up close.  The boys loved watching the clowns and seeing the elephant paint.

They were amazed when the circus began and were so fascinated by all of the acts.

Cameron loved the trick horse riding and Hunter loved the woolly mammoth.

I don't know if I enjoyed watching the circus or the boys' faces more.

We also got a few clown noses and all week have been clowns.  Hunter and I put together a whole clown routine and he just giggles through it all.  It is adorable.

It is so fun to take the boys on these new adventures.

Lava Tubes and Ski Lifts

We headed up north for a fun adventure in Flagstaff with my sister and her family. 

Patrick found this amazing hike inside a lava tube cave and the boys were so excited.

The caves were so amazing.  They were very cool, dark, and covered in lava rocks.  The boys loved it.

After the caves and our picnic, we headed up to the ski resort to ride the lift.

Zoo Time

We have been to the zoo a couple of times in the last couple of weeks. 

The first time we went was the new komodo dragon's day on exhibit.  The boys loved watching him explore and were so excited he was there.  They ended up in a picture on the zoo's website and the next week when we were at the zoo again the workers all recognized the boys.  They loved being famous at the zoo.

Hunter and Cameron love these monkeys and always have me make the monkey talk to them by pretending to be the monkey and asking them questions.  The boys love it and ask for it all of the time.

The zoo is one of my favorite outings with these two it doesn't matter how many times we go they still love it and are so interested every time.

Museum of Natural History

We headed out to the Natural History Museum.

They had a fun story  time at the museum where they read one of Cameron's favorite books, The Very Hungry Caterpillar.  Here are the boys being caterpillars in the caterpillar hats.

Outdoor Day

My brother and his family invited us to an outdoor day near their home.  There were so many activities and the boys loved getting outside in a little bit cooler weather.

Hunter was so excited to try the archery and was so happy he hit the zombie.

The boys were fascinated with the sand and the moon dough.  We will have to try these again at home soon.
They also had a ton of animals to hold.  The boys jumped right in and loved holding the snakes and bugs.

Hunter went back a few times to hold each of the different snakes.

Cameron was so excited to have a snake necklace.

They also loved getting a chance to shoot the bb guns.

We went canoeing, swam in the lake and loved playing with cousins.  It was such a fun day.

Exotic Birds

We found this great park that had such fun and unique toys.  The boys loved exploring all of the toys and I cannot wait to go back when it's a little cooler with dad to explore more.

The boys are little monkeys and just wanted to climb away.

Then we headed over to bird world to try feeding some of the birds.

The boys were all so excited to see the birds.

Hunter loved feeding the birds and just strolled around the room feeding them all.
The birds were really loud and Cameron did not like the noise.  He cuddled up with mom and fed a couple of birds but mainly just liked watching them.
The birds were amazing and I loved watching the boys with them.

Science Projects

Hunter loves science projects and is always wanting to do more and more projects.  He even loves creating his own projects.

And his favorite baking soda and vinegar geysers.  Then the boys just love playing with the goo.  We have some green goo on the ceiling after this project.
Hunter is always talking about his hypotheses.  I love watching him learn and grow.
