Cameron's Messy is Fun Birthday Party

We tried to decide for a bit what type of party we should do for Cameron, and the more we thought about it the more we realized how much Cameron loves to get messy and loves to do messy projects.  In our family one of our themes is "Messy is Fun".  We are always doing messy projects and Hunter used to be more tentative about jumping into do these projects so I would always tell him messy is fun.  Cameron loves to get messy and this is something I hear my boys always telling each other now.  So that was the theme of the party.
Hunter helped with the decorations.  He did a lot of this sign himself and told me what to do for the rest of the sign.

For food we had sloppy joes to go along with the theme and Cameron loved his dragon cake.
Then the boys and I had put together a few different projects all week.

Spaghetti Swimming
We filled a pool full of spaghetti for the kids to swim and play with.

The kids decided it would be fun to have a spaghetti war.  I think Cameron was giggling the whole time it was great.

I love the picture of Cameron getting daddy and then wanting daddy to protect him.

Shaving Cream Swimming
Then we filled a pool full of shaving cream for them to jump and play in.  Cameron loves shaving cream so I knew we had to do something with shaving cream.

The boys quickly decided to turn on mommy and daddy and we all ended up covered.  It was great.

We had the slip n slide for them to play and cool off.

Water Balloons
This is the only picture of the water balloon fight, probably because it got a little crazy.  Cameron wanted water balloons at his birthday so much and loved throwing them at everyone.

Ice Volcanoes

The boys and I made baking soda ice that erupted when we dumped vinegar on them.  Our kids love volcanoes and watching them explode.

Ice Painting
Then we did ice painting.  We froze paint in ice cube trays and the kids were able to paint with the ice as it melted.

The picture turned out really cool.

Pinata
Then we decided to crush the angry bird pinata we had made.  Each of the kids took turns swinging at the pinata.

That didn't quite finish it off so we let Cameron hit it until the candy flew out.

Cake and Presents

The cake tasted great and all the kids loved eating a part of the dragon.
Everyone was so generous and Cameron loved all of his toys.
It was like Christmas morning.
We let everyone open up the toys and start playing.
It was such a fun party.  Cameron had such a great time and he loved playing with all of his cousins and family so much.  We loved having such a fun opportunity to celebrate our sweet, amazing, and messy 3 year old boy.
