Birthday Preparations.

We love to celebrate at our house and always love overdoing every celebration with a lot of fun projects.  The boys love to get involved in these projects and always have suggestions of what else we need to do. 

For Cameron's birthday Hunter wanted to make him an Angry Bird pinata, so during nap time the two of us paper mached and put this little guy together.  The boys love having a pinata to hit at their birthday parties or other celebrations and I love making them together.  They usually turn out pretty cute and this angry bird was great.

 

The boys also wanted to help make Cameron's cake.  A few months ago Cameron decided he wanted a yellow dragon cake.  We love making fun cakes for the boys.  We always laugh when they ask other people what type of cake they had for their birthday and that person will answer what flavor the cake was and our boys will say no was it a dragon, car, pirate what?  They don't understand why everyone doesn't have a cool shaped cake. 

 The boys loved making the cake and chosing what color the guts of the dragon would be (green in case you couldn't tell).  The boys wanted to eat the cake batter but I told them it wouldn't be good until it was cooked.  I told them a couple of times not to eat the batter until it was cooked.  Well after it was cooked I was cooling the pans and was making space to put them in the fridge to cool when I saw this.

 The boys were devouring the cake.  They said I told them they could eat it when it was cooked.  Luckily we made a lot of cake so it was no big deal that they ate the cake and they had such a great time eating the cake out of the pan I had to get a few pictures.

These two are always making me laugh and always catch me when I say something wrong.  They are so tricky I always have to be on my toes.  I love cooking with them and love that they love to enjoy all their hardwork.

 Here is the finished dragon.  We had such a fun time decorating the cake and Cameron loved his dragon so much.
