The first few days of the trip were crazy. Patrick had to work at night and got home around 5am and the boys woke up around 6 am, so I would take them out of the hotel until noon or one. It was like 58 degrees every morning and cloudy so I would dress the boys in swimsuits and sweatshirts.
The first day we found this cute little donut shop and we got donuts every morning. We would drive down to the beach and eat our donuts on the pier. It was so nice to just relax in the water. There were always giant starfish on the beach or crabs and the boys loved watching them.
The boys loved the beach and sand. We would spend the rest of the morning just on the beach playing in the sand and water.
The boys loved digging and just rolling around in the sand. Hunter loved getting buried in the sand and they liked making routes for their trucks to drive or creating giant treasure maps.
Neither of them liked making sand castles but they loved smashing them every time I tried to make them. It was pretty funny, and cute.
The boys liked walking out on the pier but they were scared of the cracks and would walk so funny down it. Where we were at there were a ton of seals so we would see 15-20 seals every morning and we could hear their barking all along the water.
I woke up the morning of my birthday to these sweet faces. They were so happy to celebrate with mommy.
On my birthday I thought the boys would love going to the San Luis Obispo children's museum to play around for a few hours after the beach.
It was an extremely cute place and the boys thoroughly enjoyed exploring the exhibits.
It was nearly empty and the boys liked climbing and playing everywhere.
The busy days began to take their toll on Cameron and he laid down in the museum to take a little rest.
Hunter couldn't wait to try out every toy.
We found a farmers market/deli and it was awesome. They had all kinds of animals like pigs, llamas, goats, and donkeys to feed and great food and homemade ice cream. They had a fun hay ride and the boys loved it. The food was amazing so we went for lunch a couple of days.
The boys loved the time in San Luis Obispo and cried when we left the hotel, they wanted so badly to stay at our new little home (as they called it and just move in at the beach). The area was exceedingly beautiful and it was amazing to play and relax in the boys in such an awe inspiring place.
