Crafty Fun

Hand Puppets

We painted some paper bags and decided to make puppets.
Cameron loved picking out what he wanted for his guy and spent 15 minutes covering his puppet with stickers.
Hunter wanted to make a crazy alien with tentacles.  Both of the puppets had to have mustaches.
We had a little puppet show and the boys loved their little puppets.

 Ice Balloons

The boys love experiments so we decided to freeze water balloons and have some fun.
The boys were amazed at the ice balloons.
We started by adding a lot of salt to the ice to watch the ice melt in different formations.
The salt made it melt in crazy formations and it was pretty cool.
Then we added some colored water just for fun.

The boys spent nearly an hour just playing around with the ice and water.  Then we decided to smash it on the sidewalk.  The ice was a big hit and I am thinking will be a great idea for this summer.

Finger Painting

We decided to make some homemade finger paints for the boys to create masterpieces.  I love doing projects with the boys because they are both so unique and different in their approach.

Within moments Cameron is dumping all of the colors together and dumping them directly on the paper.  He is dancing on the paper and goes through about four or five sheets before Hunter has even begun.

Hunter on the other hand wants to create the exact color he is looking for before he begins.  He uses a couple of fingers to begin and after 20 minutes finally gets his hands dirty.  He is very concerned about creating a picture he will like.
Either way they approach this project they boys love creating and playing together and I love watching them explore.
