We went to the store the other day and it had an entire aisle with science projects and other science products. Hunter loved it. He wanted to stop and inspect everything on the aisle and hoped Santa would bring him everything. Without fail, every naptime Hunter asks me if we can do a science projects. So I just keep coming up with new projects with baking soda and vinegar.
We created tie dye explosions with colored vinegar and a baking soda pan.
Hunter loved squirting the vinegar and creating explosions. He was so excited to mix the colors.
Then he wanted to just play with the goo at the end. He is always asking to do this project again and again. Luckily vinegar and baking soda are cheap and put on such a great show.
Next we tried blowing up balloons with the carbon dioxide produced from the baking soda vinegar reaction.
We used some funnels to get each of the products in their respective containers.
Then we mixed them together and watched the results.
Hunter was amazed at how the balloon quicly blew up.
He loves doing these projects so much and is always so excited and so appreciative. I love making this little guy smile.
